SOA: Protecting the Architecture by Leveraging Standards
With the rapid adoption of SOA, there is an equally prominent pain point around the ability to protect the architecture as a whole. Many of the solutions currently being deployed are focused on protecting web services. However, this addresses only part of the architecture…it does not address the need to enforce policies around non-web services, the ESB, etc., and doesn’t even begin to address the proactive opportunity of enabling single sign on across the architecture in a heterogenous environment or acknowledge the roll identity has to play in the overall solution. |

Legal Frameworks Guidance: Translating Between Legal and Business Language
|
|
Webcast Legal Frameworks Guidance
Presented by Robin Wilton of Sun Microsystems Deploying a federation takes a clear definition business need, technical know-how, and most importantly an understanding of privacy and policy considerations, which often brings with it contractual relationships with other organizations outside of the deploying organization. What's the best way to get these three groups within an organization to talk—and understand each other—the same language? This presentation reviews the Liberty Alliance Contractual Framework Outline for Circles of Trust,a document that is designed to provide guidance on addressing contractual relationship structures that will likely be part of every Liberty-enabled deployment, and provides practical outlines and checklists for developing those contractual relationships. The document explores three different types of model deployments, and the associated contractual relationship(s) needed to delineate their rights, obligations, remedies, and allocation of risk with respect to the deployment. This webcast reviews the models and associated considerations to make your deployment successful—and help your legal team understand the language of federation. |
